We understand that coming along to a new place for the first time can be a daunting prospect. Here at Lakeside, we do everything that we can to make your experience with us as enjoyable as possible. Take a look below to read up on what to expect when you join us for one of our Sunday gatherings.

What time do our services start?

Our Sunday services start at 11am and usually finish at around 12:20pm when we make our way into our upstairs coffee house to connect with one another over a nice drink. We serve free teas and coffees and juice for the younger kids.

Where are we located?

We are based at the northern end of the Marine Lake here in Southport opposite the Municipal Golf Course. Our address is Lakeside Church, Fairway, Southport, PR9 0LA.

What should you wear?

We want you to feel  really relaxed when you come here so wear whatever you feel most comfortable in. Most people who attend are usually dressed in a casual manner, including our Pastors. However, if you would like to wear your new suit or dress, you are totally welcome.

Where can you park?

There is plenty of free parking on site. Our car park team will be on hand to help you if needed.

What should you expect?

As you enter the building, you will be met by our amazing team of volunteers who will give you a great welcome, and if it’s your first time here, one of our ‘Welcome Booklets’ that tell you more about all that goes on here at Lakeside. Along with that, there will be a ‘Connect Card’ that we would love you to take a moment to fill in simply so we can get back in touch with you thanking you for being here with us. There will be a live band leading us in some songs of praise, a short time of prayer for anyone who is need followed then by an inspiring and relevant talk given from the Bible. Each week, we take up an offering to give financially to support the work of the church and on the first Sunday of each month, we share Communion together. Alongside all of this, we also have a children’s and youth programme running where your kids are welcome to join in – you can sign them into this as you enter. We also have a Creche room available for babies and toddlers which livestreams our service so you don’t miss out. All of our kids and youth team have been DBS’d and we have safeguarding policies in place. Since Covid, we’ve also got hand sanitiser stations located throughout the building. Our Sunday gatherings are full of life and we’re expecting you to enjoy your experience here with us.
